[Today’s Prayer] Trump: “Kazakhstan joins the Abraham Accords… More important nations will follow”

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on the 6th (local time) that Kazakhstan has joined the “Abraham Accords,” an agreement that normalizes relations between Israel and surrounding Muslim nations, and expressed his vision to expand the accord’s scope.

President Trump shared this news during a dinner speech at the White House after meeting with the leaders of five Central Asian nations — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

He stated, “Kazakhstan has officially agreed to the Abraham Accords,” adding, “A great nation with a great leader has officially joined the Abraham Accords.”

The Abraham Accords refer to the normalization of relations and establishment of diplomatic ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco during Trump’s first term in 2020.

As the Gaza War between Israel and Hamas, which began in October 2023, moves toward its final stage, the United States and Israel appear aligned in expanding the Abraham Accords to normalize Israel’s relations with neighboring countries — aiming to ensure both Israel’s security and peace in the Middle East.

Regarding Kazakhstan’s entry into the Abraham Accords, President Trump said via Truth Social that he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling it “a significant step in building a bridge of peace for the world.”

He added, “Among the nations we discussed today, and some represented here, several will join the Abraham Accords soon,” and announced that “we will soon make public the entry of some very important countries.”

Trump also mentioned, “We are in negotiations or discussions with many nations that wanted to participate but could not due to the situation with Iran.”

God, we hear the news that President Trump met with the leaders of five Central Asian nations and announced that Kazakhstan has officially joined the Abraham Accords.

The Abraham Accords, once centered on Israel and the Middle East, have now expanded to Central Asia, beginning with Kazakhstan.

Although it is said to aim for Israel’s security and peace in the Middle East, we sense that it also carries the implication of a religious peace movement that seeks unity beyond faith under the name of the Abraham Accords — and we must stay awake and discerning.

We pray that Central Asia may know that true peace is not found through worldly agreements but only in God.

Let them realize that real peace and security do not come from the Abraham Accords, but from the union and reconciliation found in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again for us on the cross.

May the global Church stay awake and discerning in this time, proclaiming not a false peace but the true shalom of the cross of Jesus Christ!

And before You, God who searches hearts, may we humbly examine ourselves to see if there is any wicked way in us, and may You lead us in Your everlasting way.
