[Today’s Prayer] Russia, Ukrainian military facility airstrikes... "51 dead, 219 injured"
The Russian military airstrike on a military training facility in Poltava, eastern Ukraine, on the 3rd (local time), killing at least 51 people and injuring 219, Ukrainian media outlets including Kiev Independent reported, citing prosecutors and rescue authorities.
"Two ballistic missiles landed in the area. The missiles targeted an educational facility and a nearby hospital, and part of a communications building was destroyed," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
A Russian military source told TASS that two cruise missiles from the Iskander-M tactical missile system were fired at the training center of the Ukrainian Signal Forces.
The attack killed or wounded more than 300 people, including foreign instructors, sources claimed.
The Associated Press reported that the airstrike was one of the deadliest since the war began in February 2022, but it was unclear whether there were any civilian casualties.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry said the missiles struck as people were evacuating shortly after the air raid warning sounded, calling the attack "barbaric."
President Zelenskyy said he had ordered a “quick investigation” and that “the Russian scum will pay for this attack,” repeatedly demanding that the West provide him with missile and air defense support and lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons aimed at the Russian mainland.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Psalm 46:10-11)
We praise our Heavenly Father, who is with us from the beginning of the world to the end of the age.
Loving God, the ongoing war in Russia and Ukraine continues to kill many people, and we hear that Russia has bombed a military installation in eastern Ukraine, killing 51 people and wounding 219.
A war that began 22 years ago, continues to kill and tear each other apart. We want the power of death and the spirit of death that hovers over Russia and Ukraine to leave.
Allow all souls in sorrow and darkness, because of war, to seek Jesus Christ, the refuge, and that when they eagerly seek, they may be saved.
That they may not hate and kill one another, but forgive and love one another, through the blood of the cross, so that the wars may cease, and they may praise God alone, who is exalted in the world.
As the world church joins together in prayer for Russia and Ukraine, may the war in this land quickly cease and we see a new thing that God is doing.
