Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the shooting incident at a Hanukkah festival in Sydney, Australia on the 14th (local time).

According to Reuters, Netanyahu described the shooting as a "cold-blooded murder" and claimed that Australia's policies are encouraging anti-Semitism in the country.

He further criticized the Australian government, saying, "Australia has done nothing to stop the spread of anti-Semitism in Australia," and added, "You have allowed this scourge to spread, and as a result, we have witnessed this horrific attack on Jews today."

According to the Orthodox Jewish group Chabad Lubavitch, Hanukkah will last until the 22nd this year.

Major cities around the world are strengthening security at Hanukkah festivals in anticipation of possible repercussions.

The shooting incident occurred around 6:45 PM on the 14th at a playground in Bondi Park, located north of Sydney's Bondi Beach, where a Hanukkah festival was being held. About 1,000 people had gathered at the festival site. Two armed assailants opened fire indiscriminately at the crowd from a bridge above. Multiple witnesses reported that the shooting lasted for about 10 minutes.

At least 16 people, including a 10-year-old girl, were killed, and the ages of the victims ranged from 10 to 87. More than 40 people were injured.

Above all, we pray that the Lord, who is the true Shepherd of Israel, will wipe away the tears of the bereaved families who unexpectedly lost their loved ones in the indiscriminate shooting and protect them from any trauma.

Amid the anger and tension both inside and outside of Israel, we pray for the grace and mercy of God that surpass all sorrows and despair to be granted to all Jewish communities. We pray that the Jewish people will realize that Jesus is the true Shepherd of Israel and repent now.

We also pray that neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic ideologies will be destroyed in Australia and Europe. We pray that the world church will rise up and fulfill its mission of leading all nations to the fountain of life by recognizing the vision of God, who transcends all nations, and following Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

May the Israeli church wipe away the tears of the Jewish community and lead all nations to the fountain of life by following the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
