[Today's Prayer] More than 200 arrested in a raid on family churches by Chinese authorities
Chinese public security authorities raided Christian gatherings and arrested about 200 people, according to a source.
Bitter Winter, a media outlet dealing with religious freedom and human rights in China, recently said, "More than 150 Chinese public security officers stormed into a family church gathering in Xiaotan Village in the Heilongjiang Province on the 27th of last month (local time) and arrested worshippers who were worshipping."
Those arrested were driven out of the scene on three large buses and a car, and their whereabouts are unknown so far.
These were the members of the family church belonging to the "Sola Fide" network, and they have been accused of joining a church that refuses to follow the theology approved by state agencies.
According to Bitter Winter, "The village holds a large Christian gathering every month, and believers living in an area 700 kilometers away are also involved."

The Guangzhou Bible Reform Church, which has been continuously suppressed by the government for refusing to join the Third-Self Church, was also recently raided by armed police and government officials. Authorities officially banned the church on August 24, 2023, and the church became labelled an illegal social organization.

God, we lift up to you the believers of the Chinese church who are persecuted for believing in Jesus and meeting to worship.
Accept the worship of the Chinese church that continues to worship in the midst of hardships by offering itself as a holy living sacrifice.
Protect the 200 believers of the Chinese church who have been arrested by the public security, and guide them so that they can be released quickly.
Even though the Chinese church is suffering under a dictatorship at the moment, we believe the church has a stronger faith than any other church today.
In these end times, may the Chinese church rise from this hardship in faith and become a church marching to the end of the earth!
