[Today’s Prayer] Israeli hostage family goes to The Hague to sue Hamas for ‘war crimes’

The families of the Israeli hostages who were taken to the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year plan to sue Hamas for war crimes.

According to local media such as the Times of Israel on the 14th (local time), about 100 representatives of hostage families boarded a flight from Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion International Airport to The Hague, Netherlands, where the International Criminal Court (ICJ) is located, this morning.

They plan to file a war crime charge against Hamas, which infiltrated about 3,000 militants into southern Israel last year, massacred 1,200 people and took 250 hostage.

Mr. Ofir Vivas, whose family, including a 10-month-old baby at the time of the kidnapping, who was taken hostage, said at a conference on the airport tarmac, "They (hostages) were helpless in the face of terrorists who committed murder, rape, and torture, and that situation is not over yet." said.

“Today we will make history. As citizens of Israel and the world, it is important for our struggle to say ‘enough is enough,’” he said. “This is not just our story. If we do not stop it, tomorrow will be the world’s story.” “It will be a story,” he emphasized.

Invar Goldstein, another hostage family member, said, “We are embarking on a trip with the hope of obtaining just action through international organizations.”

He added, “We want to show that we are not just looking at history, but that we are writing history ourselves.”

Of the 250 hostages taken by Hamas militants, about 100 were released during a seven-day temporary ceasefire in November last year, and some were rescued during the Israeli army's ground battle in the Gaza Strip.

However, about 130 people have not returned until today, the 131st day of the war, and about 30 of them are reported to have died.

”to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1:77-79)

Lord, even today, we hear news that the sadness is covering the families who were taken hostage and could not return.

Please judge the powers of darkness that cause the murder and rape of countless people through your justice.

Please quickly free those who are being held hostage and wash away their pain and tears.

We believe that Jesus will judge this world when he returns to this earth.

However, we declare that the Lord’s mercy has saved them.

Please allow Israel and Palestine to come together and worship the Lord before Yeshua, our Savior.

May all the powers of death and darkness be broken, and may only Yeshua come as the king of Israel and Palestine!
