[Today's Prayer] Israel Enforces Land Registration in West Bank… Palestinians Strongly Protest

The Israeli government has approved a bill to strengthen its control over the occupied West Bank and facilitate land purchases by Jewish settlers, Reuters reported on the 15th (local time).

On this day, Israel passed a motion to initiate land registration procedures within the West Bank for the first time since the 1967 Third Arab-Israeli War. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "This decision will contribute to resolving land disputes and increasing administrative transparency." According to an Israeli cabinet statement, the measure is a response to "illegal land registration" pursued by the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Behind this decision are hardline figures within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated immediately after the approval, "We are continuing the settlement revolution and consolidating our control over every corner of our land." Defense Minister Israel Katz also emphasized that the land registration is an "essential measure for national security."

The Palestinian Authority immediately protested. The Palestinian President's office criticized the move in a statement, saying, "This measure formalizes plans to annex occupied territory and is an attempt to perpetualize the occupation through illegal settlement activities."

Peace Now, an Israeli settlement watchdog, warned that if the bill is implemented, Palestinian residents risk losing land ownership or being evicted from areas covering up to half of the total West Bank territory.

Heavenly Father, we hear the news that the Israeli government recently approved a bill for Jewish settlers to purchase land in the West Bank, leading to criticism from the Palestinian Authority and warnings from an Israeli settlement watchdog that Palestinian residents risk losing land ownership and being evicted from up to half of the West Bank area.

Jesus, the true Master of Israel and Palestine, please protect the many Palestinian residents in the West Bank so they do not lose their homes because of this bill.

Above all, let the Israeli government not seek to exercise dominance over the land by human strength for national security, but let them move forward by relying on the Word of God's promise toward Israel.

We believe that the kingdom You desire to give Israel is not a kingdom of this passing earth, but the eternal Kingdom of God ruled by Jesus Christ, who saved Israel and all nations.

Let the global church, which has first realized the truth, and the churches in Israel and Palestine pray for the souls in Israel and Palestine who have not yet realized the truth and witness the Gospel, so that all flesh in Israel and Palestine may now see the salvation of God through Jesus Christ.

In these end times, as Israel and Palestine go out to all nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom, let us see the history of the way for the Lord’s return being prepared among all nations!
