[Today’s Prayer] "Iran sends nuclear negotiation signal to Israel and US through Arab countries"

As armed conflict between Israel and Iran escalates, Iran has reportedly made an urgent call for an end to hostilities and the resumption of nuclear negotiations.

On the 16th (local time), the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Iran sent a message through Arab mediators that it was willing to return to the nuclear negotiation table if the US did not join Israel's attack.

It also conveyed a message that it was important for Israel to restrain violence for the benefit of both sides.

However, the WSJ diagnosed that Israel, which currently has air supremacy to the point where it can freely send fighter jets into Iranian airspace, has little reason to stop attacking until Iran's nuclear facilities are destroyed.

Iran is said to have told Arab countries that it could accelerate its nuclear program and expand the scope of the war if negotiations with the US are not resumed.

However, Israel's position is that it will continue its attacks until Iran's nuclear program and ballistic missiles are completely destroyed.

In an interview with ABC News on the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “This is not about escalating the conflict, but ending it,” regarding speculation

that there is a plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. When asked whether Israel would actually target Khamenei, Netanyahu replied, “We are doing what we have to do.”

He continued, “We are targeting Iranian nuclear scientists, who are essentially Hitler’s nuclear team.”

He argued that supporting Israel’s efforts to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program is also in the national interest of the United States.

We ask that you be present among the Iranians and Israelis who must deal directly with the nuclear negotiations, and among the mediating United States and neighboring Arab states, that all negotiations may proceed smoothly and according to your will.

In these dark times of walking in darkness, help Israel and Iran to trust in Your name and rely on You alone as the true light!

May the love of the cross of Jesus bring true peace between Israel and Iran, proclaiming that Jesus alone is King.

As the churches in Israel and Iran fulfill their roles as light and salt in the midst of their nations' difficulties, may they first pray for unity in Jesus.

Allow the global church's prayers for Israel and Iran to not be ceased, and guide them to go forth with the gospel into the midst of Iran and Israel, just as Jesus sees them.

Restore Israel and Iran with the gospel and raise up a people who will fear You and hear and follow Your Word!
