This is the third time an 'Israeli spy' has been executed in Iran.

Iran's state-run media reported on the 28th that Iran has hanged a man in his 40s who was convicted of being an Israeli spy.

The state-run IRNA news agency reported that Fedram Madani (41) was hanged after the Iranian Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence handed down by a lower court.

Madani, who was arrested in 2020, is accused of visiting Israel and meeting with Mossad agents to pass on confidential information about Iranian buildings with 'infrastructure equipment'.

Madani received foreign currency and cryptocurrency in exchange for his information, the news agency said.

Madani also met with Mossad officers at the Israeli embassy in Belgium.

Executions have increased in Iran in recent months.

According to the Norway-based monitoring group Iran Sleep Rights, at least 60 people have been executed in the past 10 days.

Madani is the third person executed this year for “spying for Israel.”
