[Today’s Prayer] Hezbollah airstrikes on the Israeli border... “The majority of dozens of shots were intercepted.”

As war clouds deepen in the Middle East, the armed conflict between Lebanon's pro-Iranian militant group Hezbollah and Israel continues.

Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets targeting northern Israel on the night of the 3rd local time.

Rockets launched from Lebanon were seen shot down by air defenses over Israel's Galilee, and "many of the rockets were intercepted by Iron Dome (Israel's low-level missile defense system)," local Israeli media reported.

Hezbollah said the attack targeting Beit Hillel was in response to Israeli attacks on Kfar Kela and Deir Seryan in southern Lebanon, and claimed that civilians were injured in the Israeli attacks.

The battle between the two sides on this day took place amidst the worsening conflict between Israel and Iran and pro-Iranian militants, adding to tensions.

Iran has threatened 'harsh' retaliation against Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas figurehead Ismail Haniyeh on his territory in Tehran.

Iran's proxy forces in the Middle East, including Hezbollah, which was attacked by Israel, are also likely to join in retaliation.

The consequences of an all-out armed conflict could be catastrophic, especially since Hezbollah borders Israel, unlike Iran, which is farther away.

Israel responded by conducting airstrikes on Hezbollah facilities throughout Lebanon, and on the 31st of last month, it attacked Beirut and killed Fuad Shukr, the right-hand man of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

In his speech at Shukr's funeral, Nasrallah pledged retaliation, saying, "(The conflict between the two sides) has entered a new phase" and "there will be a response, whether sporadic or simultaneous."

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling (Psalm 2:10-11)

God, we hear about the ongoing armed conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.

The blood never stops shedding with endless rage and attacks against each other

May the majesty of God, who is exalted above all, cut off all anger and hatred, and may the majesty of God, who is exalted above all, be in the midst of the rulers of the nations.

Stop all meaningless wars that lead to death and suffering, and restore them as people who fear the LORD and discern and understand the will of the LORD God.

We lift up to you every soul that is still in fear today. Have mercy and be a refuge for those who are weeping because of war.

Fear the LORD your God, all nations; fear the LORD only, and serve the LORD only!
