[Today’s Prayer] Gaza Ministry of Health, "130 people died in 10 hours... 50 people died per day since the armistice ended

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced at noon (6:00 PM Korean time) that 130 Palestinians have died since dawn on the 18th (Sunday) due to Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.

Israel resumed ceasefire negotiations with Hamas on the 16th, it has instead intensified its airstrikes, killing more than 200 Gazans in less than two days.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said that when counting only the bodies that arrived at hospitals, the cumulative number of war-related deaths was 53,339.

This refers to the minimum number of war deaths from October 7, 2023 to the morning of May 18, 2025, which is 590 days. This means that an average of 90 people died every day for nearly 20 months.

Israel blocked international aid supplies from entering Gaza on March 2, when the six-week ceasefire in January and February ended unsteadily without follow-up measures, hoping that Hamas would accept its terms of negotiation, and resumed the ground war on March 18.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the cumulative number of deaths as of April 26 was 52,243. Twenty-two days later, on May 18, the number of deaths reached 53,339, an additional 1,096 deaths during this period. The average daily death toll during this period was 50.

The daily death toll of 50 is the same as the daily death toll from the Israeli army's ground battle in Rafah in the south of Gaza in early May 2024 until just before the start of the second ceasefire on January 19.

God, please save the people of Gaza, who are dying at an average rate of nearly 50 per day!

Please hear the cries of the needy people of Gaza and have compassion on them and save their lives!

May the Lord comfort the wailing families of Gaza, so that they may know the truth of the gospel, accept Jesus Christ, and live for the cross!

May the Lord empower the bereaved families of Gaza to have hope in the power of the cross of Jesus who rose from the dead!

May the Lord add blessings to the people of Gaza who are groaning in death and suffering, and may the channels of the gospel be opened among them, anointing them with peace and hope every day!

We pray that the war between Israel and Palestine will end quickly and that the gospel will come rather than death among the people of Gaza, so that the gates of heaven will be opened and Your peace and reign will be established!

Pour out the love of Jesus, who covered a multitude of sins with the blood of the cross, so that Israel and Palestine may forgive each other and be transformed into a nation united by one Holy Spirit!

That the Church in Israel and the global church will hear of the situation in Gaza, where the death toll is rising by the day, and partner in prayer and evangelism.

May the church in Israel and the global church be the church of Jesus Christ, working together in prayer and evangelism until the end for the salvation and revival of Palestine!

Raise up a Palestinian church that will break the power of death and go forth joyfully to the nations with Your gospel!

Send missionaries to Palestine who will not give up the gospel of the cross of Jesus until the number of the Gentiles is filled!

Rise up Palestine to be the last missionary disciple!

Arise, Palestine, the light of the Gentiles to serve the King of kings, Jesus Christ!
