[Today's Prayer] Explosion in Downtown Beirut Due to Israeli Airstrike… Offensive Targeting Hezbollah Intensifies

Reuters reported that Israel, continuing its ground war against Hezbollah, the pro-Iranian militant group in Lebanon, launched an airstrike on the center of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on the 18th (local time).

According to the report, Israeli forces struck the Batsourah district in downtown Beirut on that day. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion at the scene after Israeli forces warned residents of the affected buildings to evacuate prior to the airstrike.

Israel is further intensifying its offensive targeting Hezbollah, a pro-Iranian Shia Muslim militant organization, by continuing strikes not only in Beirut but also in southern and eastern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least six people were killed and 24 injured in another Israeli airstrike in Beirut that day. The state-run news agency also reported that at least 14 people were killed in separate airstrikes in southern and eastern regions.
