[Today's Prayer] 'Epicenter of terrorism'? Pakistan reacts angrily to Indian Army Chief of Staff's remarks
Updated: Jan 19

Pakistan reacted angrily when India effectively designated its neighboring country Pakistan, with which it has a bitter relationship due to territorial disputes, as the 'epicenter of terrorism'.
According to Pakistani Daily Dawn and other sources on the 16th (local time), the ISPR, the public relations agency of the Pakistani military, strongly protested the recent remarks by Indian Army Chief of Staff, Upendra Dwivedi, in a statement the previous day, saying that they were groundless.
In a press conference held on the 12th, three days before Indian National Army Day, General Dwivedi claimed that 60% of the terrorists eliminated by Indian authorities in Indian-administered Kashmir last year were from Pakistan.
He added that 80% of the terrorists remaining in Indian-administered Kashmir were from Pakistan.
In response, the ISPR stated in a statement, "The Indian Army Chief's statement suggesting that Pakistan is the epicenter of terrorism is completely untrue," and "This is a typical tactic of shifting blame for the atrocities committed by the Indian authorities against minorities in Indian-administered Kashmir to Pakistan."

The Pakistani Ministry of External Affairs also issued a statement the day before, collectively criticizing the remarks of Indian Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, and Chief of Staff Dwivedi.
On the 13th, Minister Singh said in Indian-administered Kashmir, "Pakistan's terror infrastructure must be eliminated."
Located in the northern Himalayan region of India, Kashmir has been divided into two wars between India and Pakistan over sovereignty since they gained independence from British colonial rule in 1947, but have remained divided and at odds with each other.

Abraham said, “Do not be angry, Lord, but I will say this once more. Suppose ten are found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it because of the ten.” (Gen. 18:32)
We hear that Pakistan, which is in conflict with India over the Kashmir region, strongly protested the statement that it is the epicenter of terrorism as groundless.
Lord, please have mercy on India and Pakistan, who have been hating each other and pointing guns at each other in this conflict that has continued for about 80 years since 1947.
May the Indian and Pakistani churches bow down before God like Abraham, confessing the sins of their nations, and when Abraham asked, God said that He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if ten righteous people were found. May the mercy and compassion of God be shown in the Kashmir region through the Indian and Pakistani churches.
May they proclaim the love of Jesus through the gospel, and when the Indian and Pakistani churches worship together in unity in the cross, may the gap that divided India and Pakistan be filled with the blood of Jesus Christ.
In this way, through the worship in the Kashmir region, let all conflicting regions of the world be restored and let the day of the Lord’s second coming come quickly!
