[Today's Prayer] Death of 6 in shooting at Afghanistan mosque…IS claim to be responsible for them

At least six people were confirmed to have been killed in a shooting spree at a mosque in Afghanistan.

According to AFP, Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said in a spokesman on the 30th (local time) that an unidentified gunman stormed into a Shiite mosque in Gujara, northwestern Herat Province, at around 9 p.m. the previous day and opened fire on followers.

A total of six people were killed and one was injured in the accident, the Interior Ministry counted. Residents testified to AFP that three gunmen entered the mosque and the other two brandished firearms while one was on a sentry outside the temple.

On the same day, the Sunni extremist militant group Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the mosque attack.

Afghanistan has been ruled by the Taliban, a Sunni militant group, since August 2021. The Taliban claim to have ousted IS from all of Afghanistan, but in Herat province, which borders Iran, terror attacks on Shiite believers have continued, Reuters reported.

But he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:24-25)

Praise the Lord who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and forever.

We hear the sorrowful news that people lost their lives in a shooting at a mosque in Afghanistan.

Please have a mercy in Afghanistan, where the Taliban, a Sunni militant group, has ruled the land since August 21, and IS has continued to attack terrorism.

You are the Lord who completely saves those who go to God on his own. Please give salvation when the Afghan souls, who are dreaded of the continuing Taliban rule, move forward to the Lord.

Let those who are desperate for truth find the Lord in this dark, unchanging time, and let the people of the LORD return.

Let those who are desperate for truth seek the Lord, and let the people of the Lord return in these dark times, when it seems unchanging.

Although the Korean church cannot enter to the land now, let the revival that never existed before in Afghanistan come to the land as we move forward in prater together, and let the rule of God’s kingdom, not the rule of the Taliban, come to the land!
