Hello. My name is Alimjan, and I live in Kazakhstan.
I was raised as a Muslim, receiving thorough Islamic education from a young age under the guidance of my grandfather, a Muslim leader.
One day, I stumbled upon the Bible and, reading the first chapter of John, accepted Jesus, the Word made flesh. Every time I encountered contradictions in the Quran, I questioned its truth. Finally, through the words of John the First, I realized that Jesus, not Islam, was the truth.
However, with no one around me believing in Jesus and most being Muslim, I struggled to figure out how to continue my faith. So, I simply went to an old Orthodox church in downtown Kazakhstan whenever I had time and prayed.
On that day, I met some Christian travelers on my way out of the church after prayer. Hearing that I was keeping my faith alone, they invited me to a church meeting. I, who was so thirsty, am now being nurtured by the Word of God with other believers there.
I attended a summer retreat and realized many things. I realized there are many missionaries in the world, the testimony of many witnesses, and that the Antichrist will come in these last days. I was born a Muslim and grew up in Kazakhstan, but I gradually began to believe in Jesus and ate spiritual food, growing through it.
I also learned about missions. There are very few believers in Jesus in Central Asia, and I realized that for this to increase, the Gospel must be spread. Therefore, I developed a strong desire to share and spread the Gospel to Central Asia, other countries, and Arab countries.
Through this summer retreat, I have come to desire to become a missionary. I want to die as a missionary in the name of Jesus and walk in the Lord's path.
My parents, who are Muslims and believers, oppose my attending church. Despite this, I yearn even more for worship and dream of growing as a youth leader in the Word.
Recently, when I mustered up the courage to share the gospel with my younger sister, I received the grace to believe. I then mustered up the courage to share the gospel with two of my Muslim friends, but they rejected it, hated me, and opposed me.
It breaks my heart, but I will not stop sharing Jesus Christ in Kazakhstan and throughout the world!
Please pray that I may remember the grace I have received and become a missionary who spreads the gospel to the whole world!
I will praise the name of the Lord with a song; with thanksgiving I will magnify Him. This pleases the Lord more than an ox, a bull with horns and hooves. (Psalm 69:30-31)
God, thank you. Thank you for meeting Brother Alimjan, who received thorough Islamic education from childhood and grew up as a Muslim, and for leading him to believe in Jesus, the only Savior.
We are also grateful that Brother Alimjan, who had lived his life of faith alone, was blessed with other believers and was raised in the Word.
Through the retreat, Brother Alimjan came to understand the end times and how to live for God's will in these times.
We believe the Lord prepared Brother Alimjan from the beginning and called him to be a missionary for all peoples, beyond Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
We believe the Lord has already accepted Brother Alimjan's confession of devotion.
As Brother Alimjan goes forth in worship, praising and thanking the great God, the Lord will change the hearts of Brother Alimjan's parents and open all situations.
May Brother Alimjan's family and friends, the Kazakh people, and all peoples rise up to offer God a worship that pleases Him.
May the youth and young adults of Kazakhstan rise up to embrace the Lord's mission through Brother Alimjan! May the churches of Kazakhstan also awaken through Brother Alimjan's devotion!
Until the day the Lord returns, may we rise as missionaries to spread the gospel throughout the world, preparing for His return with all nations!
In these last days, may the Kazakh people rise as pioneers to the nations and establish the Lord's holy church in Central Asia and across all nations!
