(Field Story) Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman says he opposes war in Gaza... Hostages must be released


Palestinian leader says, "We are facing a genocidal war, we need international protection”


Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia, said on the 11th (local time) in regard to the war between Israel and the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, “I am opposed to the war in Gaza (Strip).” reported Reuter.


Crown Prince Mohammed said this at the special summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, saying, "We urge Israel to end the siege of the Gaza Strip and allow humanitarian aid."

He placed responsibility for this incident on Israel, saying, “Responsibility for crimes committed against the Palestinian people lies with the occupation authorities.”

However, he also emphasized to Hamas, who kidnapped about 250 people during the Israeli raid on the 7th of last month, “We demand the release of the hostages.”


At this event, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas said, “Our people are facing a war of genocide,” and “The West Bank of the Jordan River and Jerusalem are also facing attacks every day.”


He emphasized, “We need international protection,” and “the United States must stop Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip.”
