[Field Story] Praise and worship to the Lamb on the throne, Saudi Arabia

(The photo above is unrelated to the content)

Hello, my name is Alshad and I live in Saudi Arabia.

As a Yemeni, I grew up receiving Islamic education from a young age, but I often questioned the contradictions in Islamic society.

When I saw people living contrary to the strict rules and laws while adhering to them, the idea that Islam was not true became more and more confirmed.

Then, through an encounter with a Christian, I learned about Jesus who gave his life on the cross for me.

The love of Jesus changed all my thoughts. I was confident that I had found the truth I was looking for.

Due to family circumstances, I had to move my residence abroad, but even so, I did not want to give up my faith in Jesus.

I started holding worship gatherings with Christians I met here in Saudi Arabia, and now my home has become a church where we worship.

I praise you Lord for changing my life. Having met the truth, I feel more free and happier than anyone else. Please pray with us that many people in Saudi Arabia will be able to come to worship services through our family in the future, and that our family will be used in that way.

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10)

We praise God, who receives the glory and worship of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and all nations.

Lord, thank you for letting Brother Alshad, who was wandering in search of the truth, know the love of Jesus on the cross and for allowing him to gain eternal life by believing in Jesus.

We are also grateful for allowing Brother Alshad's family, who left Yemen to come to Saudi Arabia, to meet the diaspora church in Saudi Arabia and worship together.

Lord, now we ask that Brother Alshad's family would become a holy church that testifies to the word of life among the land that You’ve sent them to in Saudi Arabia, Arabs, and all nations.

Let Brother Alshad and his family testify to the love and wonders of Jesus who saved us, everywhere they go and to every nationality they meet, and let everyone who hears this good news see the beauty of the Lamb and come to Your throne with joy.

In this way, may Saudi Arabia, that have suffered for a long time without seeing the Lord, raise its voice and praise the work of the Lamb, and the land of Saudi Arabia become a holy land where countless tribes and peoples that no one can count come to worship the Lord!
