(Field Story) Lead many people back to the right path, Dagestan

Hello? I am Ramzat from Dagestan.

In Dagestan society, where Islam is naturally accepted, our family environment never demanded religious coercion from the start. Consequently, we weren't heavily influenced by Islam and could avoid Islamic education. Then, three years ago, after my father passed away, my mother took charge of the household, and I began to reconsider Islam myself.

Dagestanis treated me as strange for constantly searching for truth, and I grew to dislike them too, vaguely dreaming of leaving Dagestan quickly to live elsewhere.

Then I met Korean friends. Though they had to leave Korea reluctantly, they returned to Dagestan for the summer.

They prayed for me upon our reunion, shared the gospel, and imparted Jesus' love—and in those moments, I saw the sincerity in my Korean friends' eyes. That's how I came to accept Jesus, and now I attend weekly worship gatherings with my friends.

Though I still don't know much about Jesus, I long to know more about the Jesus my friends have shared with me. Please pray that I may grasp Jesus' love and become someone who worships Him with all my heart!

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3)

Praise be to the Lord who loves the brother Ramzat, pouring out a thirst for truth upon them and granting them opportunities to hear the gospel, enabling them to learn Jesus' love.

Though treated as outsiders within their own people for not following Islam, we believe the brother Ramzat have received the grace of being called God's children.

May the Lord enable Ramzat to become a brother who grows to resemble Jesus through worship gatherings and nurturing times in the Word, and may he receive the spiritual inheritance the Lord bestows.

Allow wisdom beyond the world's measure through Your Word, that the light of Dagestan may shine forth. Bring many Dagestani youth back to Jesus, and pour out leadership among brother Ramzat, to fulfill the work of illuminating the path to God's kingdom like stars shining eternally.

May the Lord walk with Brother Ramzat in his future steps and add to his testimony, so that the brothers in Dagestan may find satisfaction in the truth and prepare for the Lord's return.

Thus, may Dagestan, together with the peoples of the North Caucasus, awaken and raise up an army of young evangelists among the nations!
