[Field Story] Israel, Rising as Yeshua's Army

Hello. My name is Rachel, and I live in Israel.

I grew up in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish family. Because of the religious atmosphere in our home, my parents always insisted on following the law, and I was taught that God would judge sin. Therefore, I thought God was difficult and always condemning.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I left my ultra-Orthodox religious life and became a secular Jew. I constantly questioned whether God truly existed and what kind of God He was. I chatted online with Muslim friends, asking them about the Islamic faith, and I also consulted various religious books.

I heard the gospel through student missionaries, but I refused to accept it, saying that as a Jew, I couldn't accept Jesus as the Messiah. Despite my deep desire to know the truth, whenever I'd hear from student missionary friends that Yeshua's death on the cross forgave our sins and that He was the only way to salvation, I would always avoid them saying that i didn’t like religions that insisted on a single, righteous way.

Then one day, I went to a concert of my favorite singer and realized that my favorite music no longer filled my heart. Perhaps praise could fill it. Only then I was able to confess that i had a deep spiritual hunger within me.

The following week, I had a dream in which the word "Yeshua" grew larger and larger. I happened to visit an old church building I wouldn't normally visit, and the sculptures and paintings inside were quite intriguing. The next day, I dreamed of destroying a statue of Jesus.

I was puzzled by this strange dream, but it made me more curious about Yeshua, so I started attending services and am now slowly reading the New Testament. Please pray with me that my misconceptions and images of Jesus will be shattered by the Word of Truth, and that I may encounter Jesus, my Savior!

What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. - 2 Corinthians 6:16

We praise the God of love who lives and desires to dwell among Sister Rachel and be her God.

We believe that it was the work of the Holy Spirit that led her to meet the student missionaries and reminded her of Jesus through a dream in her time of need.

Please help Sister Rachel realize that only Jesus can fill her heart, which she could not be satisfied or filled by her favorite singer or by the world.

Would you help her realize through worship and the Word who Yeshua is in her dream, and through this personal encounter, shatter all her misunderstandings about Jesus.

May Jesus Himself become Sister Rachel's God, and may she become one of God's people.

Therefore, may she bear witness to the living Jesus among the Jews, and may she proclaim the living God among all nations!

As Sister Rachel goes forth with the gospel, may all the youth of Israel rise up, and may they rise up as the bride of the Lord, preparing the way for the Lord's return in the last days!

May the army of Israel's youth rise up, advancing to all nations, exalting the name of Yeshua!
