[Field Story] Hamas: "Leader Sinwar Martyrdom... Resistance Will Not Stop"
On the 18th (local time), the Palestinian armed group Hamas officially confirmed the death of its top political leader, Yahya Sinwar.
In a statement, Hamas said, "Yahya Sinwar, the commander of the 'Al-Aqsa flood' battle, has been martyred."
Hamas described Sinwar as "a man who sacrificed his soul for God on the path to liberation of Palestine," and "who stood on the front lines against the occupying forces (Israel) and firmly defended the proud land of Gaza."
Hamas emphasized that "the hostages will not return unless the attacks on Gaza stop and our heroic prisoners are released from the occupied prisons," and that they will not release the Israeli hostages without a ceasefire and prisoner exchange negotiations.
Hamas's military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, said in a separate statement that they would "march toward the great martyr Sinwar" and pledged to "shed blood for the sake of God and for the liberation of Palestine together with the Mujahideen."
He continued, "It is a delusion for the enemy to think that they can extinguish the flame of resistance by assassinating the leader," and emphasized that "our jihad will not stop until Palestine is liberated and the last Zionist (Israeli) is expelled."
Lebanese pro-Iranian militant group Hezbollah also released a memorial statement that afternoon, saying, "The great leader Yahya Sinwar has become a martyr on the road to Al-Quds (the Arabic name for Jerusalem)."

Sinwar was the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and was elected as Hamas' supreme leader after Hamas' political director Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated by Israel in Tehran on July 31.

Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. O Israel, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Psalm 115:8-9)
Lord, we hear that the leader of Hamas died during the war, but this is not the end of the war. Rather, he is considered a martyrdom and is being praised as a hero in Arab countries.
Please have mercy on those who serve idols other than God and sacrifice their lives for those idols. Please open their blinded eyes and help them realize that only God is their help and shield in the face of the tragedy of war.
God, the King of Glory, the long war cannot be resolved with swords and spears. Please stop this war only through Your intervention and the prayers and service of the saints!
Once again, as the global church pours its heart out to the cause of Israel and the Middle East and prays to the Lord with tears, may the grace of the Lord and the power of the gospel that sets us free flow to the souls who are poor in spirit and weary from war.
Therefore, may those who are more blameless and holy like the morning dew arise in Israel and the Middle East through the blood of Jesus! May they become a strong and courageous army that loves Jesus, testifies to all nations, and commits themselves to live as disciples of Christ!
