Hello? I'm Sarah, living in Israel.
I grew up in a strict Jewish religious household. Judaism felt hypocritical and oppressive to me. When I wanted to leave the Jewish community, I was kicked out of my home and ended up wandering the streets for a week. This experience led me to suffer from severe depression for several years. It was so difficult that I attempted suicide. Even my doctor called my survival after that attempt a miracle. Believing God still had a plan for the rest of my life, I spent the last four years searching for truth.
After encountering shamanism and various religions, Jesus resonated most deeply with me. Though I knew not a single Christian and feared persecution from the Jews around me, I tried to live as a Christian as I had heard and seen in the world—going to church alone, spending Christmas by myself at home, and so on.
Then I happened to meet a Christian and heard the gospel. Since I hadn't known any Christians until then, I asked how I could become a true Christian. When that friend prayed with me, I felt something powerful wash over my whole body during the prayer, tears came to my eyes, and I followed along with the prayer of acceptance. Though I haven't read the New Testament yet and don't fully understand the gospel, I felt an overflowing longing for truth within me. With a heart full of earnestness, I prayed to the Lord myself, asking Him to show me the way.
I give glory to Jesus, who has become my Lord! Please pray that I may overcome the lingering depression, anxiety, and extreme stress through faith, and that even amidst the busy routine of work and studies, I may meet the Lord deeply every day through His Word!
Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord (Psalm 144:15)
Praise be to the Lord who saved Sister Sarah, who had been oppressed by man-made rules rather than God's true love, hidden behind religion, and called her into the truth.
May the Lord joyfully receive Sister Sarah's precious heart, which sought to live as a Christian even amidst the expected persecution from surrounding Jews.
May she be nourished by the Word within the Gospel with a heart that longs for truth, and may the Lord answer her prayers, enabling her to walk the true path of Christ.
Add to her fellowship those who will labor alongside Sister Sarah. Through her testimony, may Israel's youth cast off the shackles of religion, believe in Jesus, and enjoy the blessing of becoming God's true children.
Thus, may Israel become the nation that fulfills the first covenant—taking the Lord as their God and becoming a blessing to all nations!
