Hello? I'm Yerzhan, living in Kazakhstan.
Not long after I began my life of faith, I was involved in a sudden traffic accident that caused me to completely lose sight in my right eye. Plunged into despair, I cut off all contact with the church community and lived alone at home like a recluse.
Concerned for me, the church members kept reaching out even when I didn't respond. When I finally answered, they invited me to a Gospel Camp. Though my body was sick and broken, when I came back to the Lord, He touched my wounded heart deeply through that camp.
After the camp, on a Saturday night, while reading the Bible and praying together at a friend's house, tears came pouring out. I ended up weeping and repenting.
I used to be so depressed and overwhelmed by loneliness that it was difficult to get up early in the morning on my own. But after the Gospel Camp, my body feels light and I get up easily. I hear that my face has brightened up as I worship at church early on Sunday mornings.
Spiritual restoration leads to physical restoration in worshiping the Lord, doesn't it? I'm also consistently reading the Bible.
Please pray that I may be strengthened again in both spirit and body, so that I may rise up as a soldier of the Lord going forward.
He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate. (Psalm 111:4)
Praise the Lord who loves Brother Yerzhan, never giving up on him, and who heals his wounded body and soul by calling him back through the community to the Gospel Camp.
When he lost sight in his right eye and was in the depths of despair, may the Lord who bore Brother Yerzhan's pain on the cross clothe him with the power of resurrection and fill him with the joy of salvation the world cannot give.
May Brother Yerzhan, in every moment nourished by Your Word, restore the image of God within him and become a brother who daily testifies to the preciousness of the gospel of heaven.
Through the testimony of the Yerzhan brothers, may hopeless youth in Kazakhstan experience God's miracles and come before the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, who is alive and working even now.
May the churches of Kazakhstan partner together in this work, taking the lead in proclaiming the gospel, and become the spark that reignites revival in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
Thus, may young people like the dew of the Lord's morning arise in Kazakhstan as an army, anticipating the Lord's return and serving the nations!
