[Field Story] At least 55 people killed in Muslim-Christian clashes in Nigeria
At least 55 people have been killed in clashes between Muslim herders and Christian peasant tribes in central Nigeria.
According to AFP news agency and local community leaders on the 25th (local time), bloody clashes took place between them on the 23rd and 24th in the Mangu area of Central Plateau State, where a 24-hour curfew was imposed.
At least 30 Christian farmers were killed when Muslim Fulani herdsmen attacked the village of Kwahaslalek in the area, and 25 Muslims were killed in bloody clashes in and around the center of Mangu district.
The local Red Cross calculated that a total of 55 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the two days of bloody clashes.
Al Jazeera reported that this was the worst bloodshed since nearly 200 people were killed in a series of attacks by armed groups on Christian villages in Plateau State after the war on December 25 last year.

The bloody conflict between Muslim nomads in the north and Christian farmers in the south has continued for a long time over pastures and farmland, which are the basis for their livelihood.
The situation has worsened in recent days as clashes between nomads and peasant tribes have escalated into raids on villages by local armed groups, often called 'Bandits', the broadcaster added.

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. (Romans 3:29-30)
We hear that at least 55 people have been killed in clashes between Muslim nomads and Christian peasant tribes in central Nigeria.
The fight is over pasture and farmland, which is the basis for livelihood, but this conflict has been going on for a long time, and the situation has worsened due to recent attacks by armed groups.
Righteous God, in Nigeria, where Christian persecution is severe, attacks and persecution against Christians continue, and many people are dying due to conflicts and bloody clashes.
Lord, please increase the faith of Nigerian Christians.
Even in times when it is becoming difficult to keep the faith, may you grant them faith that they do not give up on Jesus until the end.
May you give them the courage and wisdom to put on the love of Jesus, who forgave the sinners and prayed for them, that they may pray for and love those that persecute them, rather than responding with anger and curses.
By loving God until the end and with the faith that overcomes, may countless Christians in Nigeria rise up as disciples of the Lord, sharing the life to Nigeria and all nations!
