Hello. I am Gina, an Afghan refugee living in the Kurdistan region. (A sister)
I lived a miserable life, suffering from severe depression, smoking three packs of cigarettes a day, and crying myself to sleep every night.
Then I came to know Jesus, and as my Christian friends prayed for me every day, my smoking significantly decreased, and the tears I shed every night stopped.
Also, my daughter couldn't sleep because she was tormented by a ghost for several years, but when she prayed, the ghost left. My husband's job was hard, so I prayed for it, and two days later, he changed jobs. My life was amazing just by praying. I experienced that He was at work.
Not long ago, my younger brother and his wife also started attending worship services.
At this service, my brother, his wife, and their children all had the grace to accept Jesus.
And when we shared about the Holy Spirit and asked for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the entire family received the gift of speaking in tongues and experienced the Holy Spirit.
Since our family came here as refugees 7 years ago, we applied for refugee status in the United States due to living difficulties and problems with our children, but we were still in despair as we had not heard any news.
However, I realized that this was so that God could hear the gospel here and give us eternal hope.
Living as a refugee is still hard, and there are times when I am afraid of the unknown future, but I live each day with gratitude and prayer.
Please pray for our family to live victoriously in faith until the end!
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you; for everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matthew 7:7-8)
Amen! Thank you God for hearing the prayers of Sister Gina and her family and meeting them.
We praise the Lord for healing the depression and addiction that came amidst the many hardships of living as a refugee, and for filling Sister Gina's life with God's love and miracles.
Now, please help Sister Gina and her family to come to a deeper understanding of God, who responds with Fatherly love to everything she asks, seeks, and knocks, and to live by relying only on God.
Although there will be trials that will come in our future lives, please help Sister Gina and her family not to despair or be afraid, but to acknowledge the goodness of the Lord and follow Him.
The Lord made Sister Gina and her family hear the gospel while they were refugees! Now, please work in the Kurdish land so that countless souls living in Kurdistan can hear the gospel like Sister Gina!
