[Field News] Israel bombs Yemeni port of Hodeidah, controlled by Houthi rebels

Reporters including Reuters and AFP reported on the 10th (local time) that the Israeli army attacked Houthi rebel targets in the port of Hodeidah, a coastal city in western Yemen bordering the Red Sea.

Israel is conducting military operations against Yemeni Houthi rebels, including bombings using aircraft and warships.

Al-Masirah TV, operated by the Houthi rebels, reported that Israel attacked the port of Hodeidah twice.

The Israeli Army also released a statement, saying that its navy's missile destroyers attacked Hodeidah port, and claimed that the port was being used by Houthi rebels to transport weapons.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said on X (formerly Twitter), "We have warned the Houthi terrorist organization that if they attack Israel, they will face a strong response and a sea and air blockade."

The number of casualties from this attack is not yet known. On the 9th, the day before the bombing, the Israeli military advised residents to evacuate from three ports controlled by the Houthi rebels: Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif.
