[2026 Ramadan] Day 29 We Are Not Refugees! Lord, We Are Missionaries! Syria, Scattered as a Blessing to the Nations, Bringing Spiritual Revolution!

" as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything." (2 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Due to the long war, about 12 million Syrians have become refugees, both inside and outside the country. There has likely never been a nation in history where half of its population became refugees. Although the long-standing dictatorship has fallen and a new government has taken power—making it seem outwardly as if the war has ended and peace has come—the situation in Syria is even more chaotic. Recently, clashes between armed groups supporting the former Assad regime and forces of the current transitional government resulted in over 1,300 deaths in just four days. The nightmare of civil war has returned, and the peace people long for seems increasingly distant.

However, the providence of our God cannot be understood through the logic of the world. Because God fulfills His Word through faith—which is the exact opposite of the world's methods—His powerful Gospel is advancing among the souls of Syria!

In foreign lands where they have arrived as refugees, they sought the Lord with thirsty hearts, and the Lord has been meeting them. Through fervent prayers for evangelism and church planting, we have continuously encountered spiritually hungry souls. Even in places where no workers remained due to visa issues, local believers have recently become self-sustaining—leading worship gatherings themselves and preserving the church! A new work of the Lord has begun. Hallelujah!

Spiritual Revolution! Jesus Revolution!

The Lord is gathering all Arab nations to serve the people of Syria! All Arab nations gathered together to fulfill the Lord's Great Commission and prayed fervently for three days and two nights. During this camp, an Egyptian brother and an Iraqi sister received great grace and the Holy Spirit. We hope that they will now meet, nurture, and build up the youth and young adults of Syria.

Through the Syrian people, all Arab nations are being gathered! Also, what we have long dreamed of is happening—local believers are being established as leaders, and churches are rising where disciples make disciples! Locals are opening their homes, gathering together, sharing the Word, worshiping, and praying for the church to stand firm.

We are witnessing the fulfillment of Isaiah 19, as young people from Arab churches and the global church go out as missionaries with one vision to serve refugees. Young believers—both from Arab churches and the global church—who have resolved to give their lives for Jesus are entering Syria, where it is still considered dangerous and avoided by many, and they are witnessing an incredible revival.

Not Refugees, but Missionaries!

Sister Y and Sister F are praying and committing to be sent out as student missionaries for one year. These two young sisters, who have nothing, encountered Jesus and stepped forward with the most powerful confession of faith. Having nothing, they experience the grace of the Word where the Lord becomes their everything. Though their family situations are difficult and there are many obstacles before being sent out, they will overcome them for Jesus. Believing that only the gospel is truth, they will rise as missionaries who change the destiny of their people!

The next generation in Syria is also being built up by the Word. Even though their parents do not believe in Jesus, the children and youth sent to church every week are being planted as seeds of faith in each family; eventually, they will rise up as missionaries who will transform every family and change the Syrian people. We will witness the revival of the Syrian people through the power of the church, which the gates of hell cannot overcome!

God has written His history through great movements of people. In extreme situations—leaving one’s homeland, relatives, and father’s house—God’s new work has advanced even more powerfully. By scattering Syrian refugees, the largest refugee population in the world, God’s amazing plans are advancing.

The Syrian civil war began with the cries of young people hoping for a worldly revolution. But the result of that revolution was death, forcing them to leave their homeland as refugees. Even in the midst of despair and hopelessness after the failure of a worldly revolution, the Lord is bringing about a spiritual revolution.

Jesus Christ! The people of Syria are rising up with a spiritual revolution that will completely transform their hopeless lives! Lord! Lord, let us see the fulfillment of Your covenant through the Syrian people!

Just as the high priest bore all the sins of the people and entered the Most Holy Place, as Syria carries the sins and suffering of the Arab world and goes before God, His missionary plan for 2.1 billion Muslims—the descendants of Ishmael—will be fulfilled more rapidly. In the Arab world, where Islam began, we will witness a great revival through God’s final and powerful intervention!

[Today's Prayer]

1. A powerful church that the gates of hell cannot overcome is being established in this land. Let churches arise where disciples make disciples, and let us see revival! Raise up Arab youth together as the Lord’s final disciples!

2. Let more disciples arise—not as refugees, but as missionaries. Raise up more young people from the global church to serve the Syrian people and witness the fulfillment of Your Word!
