In Afghanistan, as terrorism and air raids occured and tensions escalated, the United States (US) special envoy met with the Afghan president and Taliban leadership to mediate.
According to Reuters and other foreign media on the 21st of May, Afghan government troops announced that 21 Taliban militants were killed by bombing the Taliban base in Zauzan Province with a fighter jet.
The government also claimed that six militants were killed and ten others were injured the night before by attacking a Taliban weapons and explosives shelter in the Kunduz Province.
Government troops blamed the Taliban, accusing them of launching the airstrikes first. A recent raid in Afghanistan has been presumed to have been led by the Taliban. Eight people were killed and five wounded in a bombing at a mosque in the northern province of Parwan on the 19th of May. On the same day, a terrorist attack also broke out at a mosque in the eastern province of Khost, killing three worshipers and wounding a child. In addition, in Tahar, in northeastern Afghanistan, terrorist armed forces attacked checkpoints, killing nine militants.
The Afghan government labeled all of this as Taliban action and raised their level of criticism against the Taliban.
Afghan government troops have been trying to focus on defense to create a peaceful atmosphere after the US-Taliban peace agreement last February. However, after the 2 attacks on a hospital and funeral occurred on the 12th of May, attacks on militant rebels such as the Taliban were resumed.
In Kabul, 24 civilans, including two newborns and their mothers, died when an armed gang attacked a hospital building related to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, and at least 24 people were killed in a suicide bombing at a funeral in Nangarhar Province on the same day.
However, the Taliban denied responsibility for both of these events.

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
(1 John 5:11-12, NKJV)
God, would you have compassion upon Afghanistan, this land that is crying out in pain because of constant terror and attacks between the government forces and the Taliban!
Amidst the deaths of thousands of people caught in the conflict between government forces and the Taliban, which has lasted for decades, Afghanistan still wants to receive life, not death!
Would you help Afghanistan to know the wonderful God who so loves them that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes may gain eternal life through faith in His Son!
So take away all the iniquities that have held Afghanistan in capitivity until now, and may all Afghans repent before You and be filled with the joy of eternal life!
We also pray for the Afghan church. Help them to not fear ongoing terrorist attacks during Ramadan but be restored with authority and rise up by faith!
Would you help the Afghan church to put their faith in the Lamb who has already won the victory and boldly preach the gospel of life to all of Afghanistan! Amen!
