“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”
(Matthew 23: 37 ~ 39)
The gospel of heaven, which leads to repentance that began from Jesus, is starting from Jerusalem and advancing to all nations. And we are returning to Jerusalem again to fulfill the history of the kingdom of God.
Satan formed a powerful spiritual camp around Jerusalem to prevent the advancement of God’s history, and Jerusalem was desolate and abandoned as the words of Jesus were trampled underfoot. Jerusalem suffered constantly in history, including the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, the conflict between Christianity and Islam, the Crusades, and several Middle Eastern wars and popular uprisings after Israel’s post-World War II declaration of founding.
At the core of this conflict are Palestine and Israel. In 1948, Jews, who were scattered all over the world, returned to their homeland and founded the country of Israel. Indigenous Arabs in the area, who were living without borders and were quickly deprived of their land, became “Palestine,” and started a war by borrowing the power of other Arab nations against Israel in order to drive them out.
Palestine and Israel inflicted unwashable wounds on each other with four Middle Eastern wars and three uprisings over the next few decades, and a vicious cycle of hatred continued. The Palestinians who lost the war were trapped in the separation barriers surrounding the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and Israel lived in fear of terrorism and war.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis hit Palestine and Israel hard. In the early days of the pandemic, when there was a growing number of confirmed cases in Israel, the government gave the Ministry of Intelligence the ability to track their citizens through various sensors on the smartphone. In Palestine, COVID-19 began to spread through tourists from Europe, and steps were taken to close cross-city travel. However, with poor medical facilities and low economic standards, it was not possible to know who is infected because they had not even been tested for COVID-19.
Yet, even in this situation, God was working. Local church leaders and field missionaries started to meet online once a week for Global Leadership Prayer (GLP) meetings and unite on mission vision. Local church leaders started praying for the nations. Palestinian and Israeli churches joined forces to serve this land and all nations.
In addition, isolated ministers prayed and asked God to open doors and ease the situation. When lock down restrictions were lifted by God’s guidance, ministers went out boldly to preach the gospel, and as people gathered, missions training was held in all the major cities.
Brother Y, a Palestinian young man who is taking missionary training, believes in Jesus but had lived without experiencing the power of the gospel. Last Wednesday, he planned to preach the gospel with some of the missionaries, but he was scared to go out. After some evangelism, there was an evaluation meeting, and the ministers started to pray. He felt uncomfortable and went outside. However, the moment he reentered the place of prayer, he felt that God’s presence was full in that place, and, as soon as he closed his eyes to pray, a tremendous light appeared before him. Then he heard a very clear voice saying, “I am with you!”
Brother Y said, “So far, I thought it was a lie to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and God. But it is real. There is the Holy Spirit, and He is with me. Today is the day I really met God, and it’s now my second birthday.” Praise the Lord, who renewed Brother Y and is raising him up as a disciple! We believe Brother Y will overcome all fear and rise up as a bold witness of the gospel!
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
(Mark 1:14-15, NKJV)
It is only the gospel of heaven that can restore the rift between Palestine and Israel in these end times when the kingdom of God is near! There is no other name than the name of Yeshua that can turn them back and restore them to the Lord in the face of countless questions and challenges in the world today! The name of Yeshua is the answer to all problems!
The end is truly near when the power of Islam falls to the ground and 1.8 billion Muslims return to the Lord. The time of the Gentiles is over, and the spiritual stronghold surrounding Jerusalem is collapsing. At this time, for the salvation of the remaining 1.8 billion Muslims, the Palestinian and Israeli churches must break the vicious cycle of hate and unite to serve the nations. The final multitudes of disciples will be raised to prepare the way for the Lord to come to Palestine and Israel! Let Palestinian and Israeli young people return to Yeshua! Let them rise up and fulfill their vision of 7,000 missionaries who will serve the nations!
1. Lord, please end the vicious cycle of conflict and hurt between Palestine and Israel. May the two nations unite only through the peace-giving gospel of the cross! Let Christ be planted in the heart of people who have suffered from continuous conflict and COVID-19. Let Yeshua, the salvation and the answer to all problems, be revealed as the true Savior and the Messiah of Palestine and Israel!
2. Thank You, Lord, for faithfully accomplishing and continuing Your work in Palestine and Israel. We pray that the young people of Palestine and Israel will rise up as Your disciples! Let Palestine and Israel rise and serve for the salvation of the world’s 1.8 billion Muslims as the time of the Gentiles ends and the power of Islam falls! Rise up, 7,000 missionaries who will partake in the last revival in this land! Amen!
