In our church, a Palestinian sister named Sajida, who had previously been captivated by the false ideology of nationalism, is now regularly attending our worship service. In addition, she is growing in faith through Bible study. Brother Hamza, who is also a Palestinian, became disconnected from us and stopped attending church for a while, but now he has come back to attend the worship service again. God is resolving the internal conflicts and problems caused by nationalistic ideology that have arisen in the church.
However, Palestine and Israel continue to dispute and anger over nationalism. Recently, due to the US Secretary of State publicly stating that “Jewish settlements are not against international law,” the conflict between the two nations has intensified.
The Palestinians here often want to believe in Jesus. However, there are many cases where, upon studying the Bible and learning about the Israelites, they want to stop Bible study due to their anger and blame towards the Jewish people.
Despite such circumstances, there was a brother who was able to overcome and receive Jesus as his Savior. Praise the Lord for allowing young people to believe in Jesus Christ through churches. Please pray for more people to come to the Lord.
Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” (Matthew 8:19 -20)
Praise the Lord for planting churches and raising disciples of Jesus among the Palestinians and Israelis.
Thank you, Lord, for Your grace upon Sister Sajida and Brother Hamza to allow them to settle into the church and follow the Word of God. May more souls in Palestine hear the Word of Life and worship You.
In the name of Jesus, may the false ideology of nationalism in Palestine and Israel be broken. May all ideologies that hinder them from coming to Jesus be cast away!
Lord, save and free these people with the gospel. The Son of Man said that he had no place to lay his head. Despite the circumstances, may an innumerous number of people from these two nations rise up as disciples who love and follow only Jesus Christ! Amen!
